Having arrived in Canada with his wife Cora and daughter Louisa in the summer of 1957. Henry Roffelsen Sr. came to make a new life for himself , and so began Roffelsen Jewellers.
      The first store was on a closed-in porch on Raleigh St. where Henry Sr. and Cora repaired watches and made jewellery at night while working at other jobs during the day. It was not too many years later in 1964 that both Henry and Cora moved into their first fulltime jewellery store in Thames Lea Plaza; The dream was coming true. From 1964 until 2000 Roffelsen Jewellers Ltd. Thrived in the plaza, becoming a part of many hundreds of clients lives as they were engaged , married ,and celebrated anniversaries with jewellery from Roffelsen Jewellers, as well as seeing many generations of clients making Roffelsens a family tradition. The loyalty of our clientele has always thrilled the family and inspired us to deliver the best products and service available anywhere.
     In the year 2000 Roffelsens made it’s boldest move, when after 36 successful years in Thames Lea Plaza we bought our own property in Historic Downtown Chatham. After much work and renovations were done, Roffelsen Jewellers moved to their new address at 107 King St. West.
